Concordia University Of Edmonton

In 1921, the establishment of Concordia University of Edmonton was made possible through collaboration with the Lutherans from the American Missouri Synod. Originally conceived as a junior college in downtown Edmonton, the university underwent a pivotal shift in 1926 when it relocated to Treaty 6 land, acquired from the Hudson’s Bay Company. Since then, it has emerged as one of Edmonton’s renowned smaller universities.

At present, the university stands as a hub for academic excellence, offering a diverse array of graduate, postgraduate, after-degree, and graduate certificate programs spanning more than 45 subjects. These programs, with majors in Arts, Science, and Management, cater to a vibrant community of approximately 2,000 students hailing from Canada and 40 other countries worldwide.

Concordia University of Edmonton distinguishes itself through its intimate campus environment, fostering a close-knit community where personal interactions with faculty play a crucial role. This unique setting cultivates an environment where students can flourish, encouraging personal growth and the development of qualities such as independence, responsibility, self-awareness, and confidence.

The university is committed to nurturing students’ interests and passions, providing them with the tools and knowledge to emerge as resilient, morally upright, and independent leaders. By preparing students to meet and exceed expectations in their professional endeavors, Concordia University of Edmonton aims to instill a sense of purpose and fulfillment in their careers and broader contributions to society.
